A well-pressed shirt is a detail that defines the rest of what you wear. At Sweetwater's Cleaners, every shirt that comes through our doors is laundered and finished by hand, whether it is a casual Oxford or a formal dress shirt.
We launder with the appropriate water temperature, detergent, and cycle for the fabric. After washing, each shirt is hand pressed and inspected before return. Buttons are checked. Collars are shaped. Cuffs are set properly.
You choose the finish: returned neatly on a hanger, or professionally folded and boxed. Both options protect the work we put in.
Shirt service is available at our Wainscott location on Montauk Highway and at SWC Clean & Tailor in Hampton Bays. Delivery service is available in select areas for your regular shirt needs.

Shirt Laundering FAQ
How much does shirt laundering cost?
Shirts are $5.95 on a hanger and $6.50 boxed at Sweetwater's Cleaners, or $6.50 per pound. Every shirt is pressed by hand and returned on a hanger or folded to your preference.
Are shirts hand pressed or machine pressed?
Every shirt is finished by hand. French-style laundering means a presser works each shirt individually, which gives a crisper collar and cuff and a cleaner finish than a machine press, and it is gentler on the fabric over time.
Can I have my shirts starched?
Yes. Starch level is set to your preference, from none to heavy. Let us know at drop-off and it is kept on file for future orders.
What is the turnaround for shirt laundering?
Standard turnaround is typically 2 to 3 business days at our Wainscott and Hampton Bays locations. Shirts can also be included in your complimentary weekly pickup and delivery if you are in our delivery area.
